The Bible views energy differently than modern science does – rather than being a force of nature, energy is seen as this divinely created force. When Jesus was in the wilderness, it is said that angels came and ministered to Him, “strengthening Him.” Similarly, in John 11, Jesus raises Lazarus from the dead, a feat which it is said was only possible because of His spiritual energy. We are told in the Scripture that this same power is available to us through prayer, as Jesus requests us to “believe” in order to receive the spiritual healing He provides.
Energy Vs. Nature
When viewing the Bible’s views on energy, it is important to note the distinction between energy and nature. While God is said to be the source of all energy, He is also said to be outside of his creation, as a separate entity. In this way, energy is seen as an integral part of our lives, and often used to bring us into a closer relationship with God, while nature is seen as an expression of God’s energy that can be studied and experienced. as something, as distinct from Him.

Jesus says in John 14:6, “Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father.” The idea here is that in order to understand spiritual energy, we must seek to have a relationship with God, in order to truly grasp the enormity of His power. Only through this intimate relationship with God, can we come to understand the immense power of spiritual energy and its use in our lives.
Powers To Influence
The spiritual energy from God can give us the power to influence the lives of others. This power can be seen in the miracle of Jesus walking on water when the disciples were in their boat, struggling in the midst of a serious storm. Jesus’ energy was so strong that it enabled him to walk upon the waves, calming the storm and having a powerful influence on the lives of those present. This same energy can be used to influence people in a positive way and bring healing and hope into the lives of those who need it.
Sacrifice For Others
Ultimately, the Bible teaches us that the spiritual energy from God can be used to bless others, even if it requires sacrificing something of ourselves. When Jesus gave up his life on the cross, he was making a great sacrifice in order to bring salvation to mankind. This same energy can be used to love, serve, and forgive those around us, loving them the same way that God loves us.
Seeing And Experiencing Energy
The power of spiritual energy is not something that we can see with the naked eye, yet the Bible teaches us that it is a very real energy that can be experienced and seen in the lives of those who are obedient to God’s commands. In Colossians 1:16-17, Paul says, “For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.” By embracing the spiritual energy from God, we can experience it and see its effects in our lives.
