In both the Old and New Testaments, there are several passages dealing directly with rumors of war. In a phrase: Hear the sound of the trumpet. This is the rallying cry of any warning of war in the Bible. The prophet Zechariah writes, “Sound the alarm! Warn the people” (Zechariah 9:14). Jesus declared in the Gospel of Mark, “When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.” (Mark 13:7).
Furthermore, Jesus warned that wars and rumors of war alone don’t constitute the end of the world. He said, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.
