The Bible is full of advice about how to deal with worry and anxiety. It’s a timeless classic that offers us wisdom and comfort in a frenzied world. In both the Old and New Testaments, the Scriptures give us clear direction on how to overcome our worries, reduce our anxiety, and trust in God’s loving plan.
When faced with difficulty and uncertainty, Jesus urges his followers to trust in Him. According to Matthew 6:31, Jesus tells us to “seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” This means that if we focus our minds and hearts on following God’s plan, that he will take care of our worries, however big or small.
