It is also associated with God’s divine providence, His glory and perfection, His covenant with us, and His sovereignty over all.
In the Old Testament, the number 7777 is a symbol of completeness, perfection and can signify divine authority. It was a number chosen by God as a designation of His promise. The seventh day of the week was named by God as a symbol of rest and sanctification and the number 7777 is seen throughout the Scriptures as God’s perfect and complete plan. It is found quite often in the Psalms and Proverbs, where it serves to reveal God’s wisdom and the assurance of His promise.
In the New Testament, the number 7777 is first mentioned in the book of Revelation, where it is used to signify divine completeness and perfection. In Revelation 5:12-14, we read: “Then I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.” The book sealed with seven seals symbolizes the fulfilling of God’s promise and the perfect righteousness of His will.

In Revelation 19:7-8, we read, “Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to Him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and His wife has made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.” Here, the number 7777 is used to signify the eternal fulfillment of God’s perfect plan and the assurance of His promise that those who have accepted His gift of righteousness will never be separated from Him.
In Daniel 12:3, it says, “And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.” Here, the number 7777 is used to symbolize the fact that those who have accepted God’s gift and formed a relationship with Him will continue to do so throughout eternity. All of God’s promises of eternal life, hope and salvation are fulfilled in this context and thus the righteous shall always have access to salvation and joy.
In 2 Corinthians 1:20, it says, “For all the promises of God in Him are yea, and in Him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” Here, the number 7777 is used to symbolize the assurance of the fulfillment of all of God’s promises in Christ. All of our prayers and all of our efforts shall be answered and all of God’s promises shall come to fruition.
Divine Judgment
In Revelation 16:7, we read, “And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments.” The number 7777 is associated here with God’s divine judgment. We know from our study of the Old Testament that God’s judgment is perfect and infallible, and that all those who reject His offer of salvation will eventually receive their due reward. As such, the number 7777 can also be seen as a sign of divine judgment.
In Revelation 14:7, it says, “Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to Him; for the hour of His judgment is come: and worship Him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.” Here, the number 7777 can be seen to signify the certainty and severity of God’s judgment, the fearful consequences that await those who reject His offer of grace. The Lord cannot accept any other view but His, and those who choose to reject His truth shall find themselves in deep trouble and subject to His wrath.
In Revelation 19:11, it says, “And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and He that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He does judge and make war.” Here, the number 7777 is used to signify the Lord’s coming to judgment. The references to the white horse and the Lord’s faithfulness and truth would lead us to believe that His judgments shall be perfect and just, and that those who have trusted in Him shall be eternally victorious.
In Revelation 20:11-14, it says, “And I saw a great white throne, and Him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.” Once again, the number 7777 is used to signify the certainty and finality of divine judgment. Those who reject God’s grace and truth will be cast into the lake of fire.
Divine Blessing
In Exodus 20:6, it says, “And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love Me, and keep My commandments.” The number 7777 is used here in association with the Lord’s mercy and love towards those who keep His commandments. It is a promise of divine blessing and assurance to those who have chosen to follow Him.
In Numbers 6:24-26, it says, “The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.” Here, the number 7777 is used once again to signify the Lord’s blessing. In the context of Numbers 6, the Lord is promising His people protection, peace and grace, and it is evident once again that His blessings are eternal and perfect.
In Psalms 91:7-8, it says, “A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.” The number 7777 is used here to emphasize the Lord’s protection of His people. He will ensure that their enemies will never be able to harm them, and He will protect them from the consequences of those who reject Him.
In Psalms 115:1-3, it says, “Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth’s sake. Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is now their God?
