It speaks of fellowship as a thing that should be cherished – a place where believers can gather, encourage one another, and share the burden they carry in their walk with Christ. Fellowship is a great tool to help us to grow spiritually. Acts 2:46 says “they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer”. When we seek out relationships with other believers and engage in fellowship, we renew our faith and allow the Holy Spirit to work through us.
The Legacy of Living A Christian Lifestyle
Christians are called to live a lifestyle that is consistent with their faith. Galatians 5:22-23 states “the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control”. These characteristics should be evident in the lives of believers in order for their Christian life be truly authentic. Living a righteous and holy life should come natural for a believer. It is also emphasized that no one should try to put on a “mask” or fake a faith but that it should shine through their actions.
The Negative Implications Of Not Believing In Christ
The Bible is clear in its statement that no one who does not accept Jesus and His finished work on their behalf will enter the kingdom of God. In John 3 it states “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.” Additionally, Romans 10:9-10 encourages us to place our trust in Jesus, “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Further scripture, such as 2 Thessalonians 1:9, describes the horrible end for those who reject Jesus, “They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might.”
