At the core of many world religions are the stories of the Bible. But just how many stories are in the Bible? It is estimated that there are around 1,189 stories in the Bible, spread among an array of books, chapters and verses. The Bible, which is a collection of religious texts, was written by various people over a number of centuries. It contains stories about the creation of the world, the life of Jesus, the teachings of the prophets, and other stories from the Old and New Testaments. <\/p>\n

The stories within the Bible are both mythical and historical. Many are entertaining, providing us with an insight into different cultures throughout history. Others are uplifting and inspiring. All of them, however, provide a unique insight into how people of the time used their faith to explain the world around them and to provide comfort and hope. <\/p>\n
