Ahab offered to trade Naboth his own royal vineyard for Naboth’s, but Naboth refused, saying that the vineyard was his family’s inheritance. This made Ahab very angry, and he had Naboth falsely accused and executed.<\/p>\n

Naboth’s refusal of the king’s offer is firm and unwavering. He does not hesitate or waver in his decision, even though it angers the king. Naboth knows that what he is doing is right and just, even if the king cannot understand his reasons. In the end, Ahab is powerless against Naboth’s firm resolve and can only give in to his depression.<\/p>\n
