Chastity is a virtue that is often associated with sexual purity. In the Bible, chastity is considered to be a positive character trait and is often linked with other virtues such as faithfulness, honesty, and self-control. While sexual purity is certainly a part of chastity, the concept of chastity goes beyond abstaining from sexual activity. A person who is chaste is someone who is pure in thoughts, words, and actions. Chastity is a virtue that is worth pursuing for its own sake, and not simply as a means to an end.

Chastity is being pure in thoughts, words, and actions. It is keeping our minds and hearts clean, avoiding anything that will tarnish our purity. In the Bible, Jesus speaks about how we need to be pure in heart, and how impure thoughts lead to impure actions. (Matthew 5:8) To live a chaste life, we need to keep our thoughts and actions pure, focus on Jesus, and avoid anything that would lead us down a path of impurity.

What is an example of chastity?

Chastity is a quality that is often associated with purity, modesty, and celibacy. A virgin is someone who has never had sexual intercourse, and is thus an example of chastity. Faithful married couples are also examples of chastity, as they have remained faithful to each other and have not had sexual intercourse with anyone else.

Chastity is a virtue that is often misunderstood. It is not simply abstaining from sexual activity, but is a discipline of the whole person. There are three forms of chastity: the first is that of spouses, the second that of widows, and the third that of virgins. Each of these has its own unique challenges and rewards. We do not praise any one of them to the exclusion of the others. This is what makes for the richness of the discipline of the Church.
