The bible has a lot to say about cutting ties with friends. In fact, it has a lot to say about friendships in general. Here are a few verses that talk about friendship:

Proverbs 18:24 says, “A man of many friends may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.”

Proverbs 27:6 says, “Faithful are the wounds of a friend; profuse are the kisses of an enemy.”

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 says, “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.”
