The Bible has a lot to say about aging and dying. In the Old Testament, there are numerous verses that talk about how to respect the elderly, and how to care for those who are nearing the end of their life. The New Testament also has a lot to say about aging and dying. Jesus Himself spoke about the end of life, and what it means for those who follow Him. In general, the Bible paints a picture of aging as a time of wisdom and reflection, and dying as a time of hope and new beginnings.<\/p>\n

The Bible does not mention getting old specifically, but it does talk about death. For example, in John 11:25-26, Jesus says, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die.” In other words, those who believe in Jesus will never really die, because they will live on forever in heaven. The Bible also says in Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 that “The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil.” So, even though the Bible doesn’t specifically mention getting old, it does teach that death is a reality for everyone, and that we will all be judged for our actions in life.<\/p>\n

God was not happy with how mankind had become corrupted and decided to limit their life span to 120 years. This was likely done in order to give them a chance to repent and turn back to God. However, it is also possible that God knew that the flood was coming and wanted to give mankind a chance to escape it.<\/p>\n

Psalm 91:16 states that God will satisfy His people with a long life and show them His salvation. Long life is a covenant heritage for all believers, granted to us through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. Because Jesus died young, we are able to live long and experience the fullness of God’s salvation.<\/p>\n
