The Bible does not give a direct answer as to how Eve was created. In the second chapter of Genesis, after God had created the world and everything in it, He placed the man, Adam, in the Garden of Eden. Part of God’s command to Adam was that he was to take care of the Garden and all the creatures in it.

After Adam had been in the Garden for awhile, God saw that it was not good for him to be alone and that he needed a companion. So, God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam and, while he was sleeping, God took one of Adam’s ribs and used it to create the woman, whom He named Eve. When Adam woke up and saw Eve, he was amazed and said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of man” (Genesis 2:23).

So, the Bible does not give a detailed explanation of how Eve was created, but we do see that she was created by God specifically for Adam and that she was made from his own body.

Eve was created by God from a rib taken from the first man, Adam.
