The Bible, one of the most significant books of faith, is made up of several books. Out of these books, the longest book in the Bible is Psalms. Psalms is the 19th book in the Bible and is made up of 150 chapters. This makes it the longest book in the Bible. It is even the most-read and the most popular book in the Bible.<\/p>\n

Psalms was written by a succession of writers under the collective name of David. He was one of the most loved and revered figures in the Bible, and the King of Israel. David is credited with penning 73 of the Psalms and his writings have been a source of both comfort and solace for Christians throughout the centuries.<\/p>\n

The themes explored in Psalms are varied and include thanksgiving,adoration, lament, supplication, desperation and entreaty. The later authors of Psalms include Hezekiah, the sons of Korah, Asaph, Asaph the son of Berachiah, the sons of Korah, and the sons of Asaph. Most importantly,God is at the centre of all Psalms in the Bible.<\/p>\n

Psalms also contains the most quoted verses in the Bible, including Psalm 23: “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.” This is one of the most recognized sayings from all of Scripture. Other popular quotes from Psalms include “Be still and know that I am God” and ”The Lord is my refuge and my strength”. The Psalms have been immensely popular across all generations and have been used for prayer and comfort to many.<\/p>\n
